Vol. 92 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Clare Water Supply.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he is aware of the very defective nature of the water supply for the district of Carron, in County Clare; and that for some parts of the year water used for domestic purposes must be carried for a distance of two miles; and if, in consideration of the danger involved for the health of the district, he will take such steps as are necessary to secure immediate consideration by the health authority of the matter.

It is understood that considerable difficulty has been experienced by the local authority in providing a water supply for the district. I have had no recent representations in the matter and an inquiry is being made as to the recent position.
