Vol. 93 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Claim for Military Damage.

asked the Minister for Defence whether he has received a claim for damage to plot and fruit trees, the property of Patrick Hanlon, Killeens, Fontainstown, Crosshaven, County Cork, by military in August, 1943, and when payment of the claim will be made.

No claim appears to have been received in my Department from or on behalf of Mr. Patrick Hanlon in respect of damage to a plot and fruit trees by military in August, 1943. The records of my Department show that some damage to fences was caused by troops on exercises passing through Mr. Hanlon's lands in August, 1943. I am informed that such damage was repaired by the military. If Mr. Hanlon will, however, furnish particulars of his claim, investigation will be made.
