Vol. 94 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Traffic Signals for Cork City.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he will state what steps, if any, the Cork City Manager has taken to have automatic traffic signals provided for busy traffic points in the city.

I would point out to the Deputy that this question and his next question on the Order Paper relate to matters which could properly be obtained at a meeting of the Corporation of Cork. The reply to question No. 4 is as follows:—

No action has been taken to provide traffic signals in Cork. In present circumstances there does not appear to be any pressing necessity for such signals. Moreover, the equipment is unobtainable.
