Vol. 94 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Lucan Sewerage Scheme.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he has received plans and specifications for the Lucan Sewerage Scheme; and, if so, if he will state if these plans have been sanctioned; and, further, if he will state the estimated cost of the sewerage scheme and when it is proposed to start the work.

The sewerage of the Lucan area presents considerable difficulties. The present position is that extensive surveys have been made as to the possibility of securing a gravitation system. The estimated cost of such a scheme would be approximately £50,000. The preparation of final drawings will take considerable time and it is not possible at this stage to say when the work would be undertaken.
