Vol. 94 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Jurors' Expenses.

asked the Minister for Justice if he is prepared to introduce legislation to provide for the payment of out-of-the-pocket expenses of jurors summoned to attend court procedings.

Mr. Boland

Arrangements have been made for dealing with cases in which jurors are obliged to hire cars or to stay overnight in a hotel by reason of the present restrictions in public transport. It is hoped that these arrangements will meet the case, but the whole position will be kept under review.
