Vol. 94 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Permit for Kerosene.

asked the Minister for Supplies if he will state why Patrick J. O'Rourke, of Gortnaderry, Kiltyclogher, County Leitrim, has been refused a permit to purchase kerosene this year, and in what respect the circumstances differ from last year when he was granted such permit.

Mr. O'Rourke, senior, father of Mr. Patrick J. O'Rourke, who is the holder of the householder's ration book as head of the household for premises occupied by him at Gortnaderry, Kiltyclogher, County Leitrim, and with whom Mr. Patrick J. O'Rourke resides, has been granted a kerosene ration card for these premises for the kerosene ration period 1944/45. According to the information available to my Department, Mr. Patrick J. O'Rourke is not, under the kerosene rationing regulations, entitled to separate registration as a domestic user of kerosene for the same premises.

I am not aware of the circumstances under which Mr. Patrick J. O'Rourke obtained registration as a domestic user of kerosene last year.
