Vol. 95 No. 2

Ceisteanna — Questions. Oral Answers. - Meath-Dublin Bus Service.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he is aware of the very bad bus and train service which operates between Trim, County Meath, and Dublin; and if, in view of the overcrowding which is occurring along this route, he will take steps to see that at least an additional bus will be put on for both morning and evening service.

The overcrowding conditions to which the Deputy refers are general in present circumstances and are not confined to the Dublin-Trim route. The Great Southern Railways Company are operating the maximum mileage possible on the supplies available to them and an improved service on this route could only be provided by a corresponding reduction elsewhere.
