Vol. 95 No. 2

Ceisteanna — Questions. Oral Answers. - Loading Facilities at Rathcoole Station.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he is aware that an agricultural worker met with a serious accident at Rathcoole (Co. Cork) railway station last week when unloading some bags of wheat from a horse-cart to a railway wagon and that the accident was due to the fact that there is no loading station at Rathcoole similar to the loading accommodation at Banteer, Lombardstown, and other stations on the Great Southern Railways; and whether, in view of the inconvenience and danger which farmers experience in loading cereals, beet, etc., at that station, he will ask the Great Southern Railways to erect a suitable loading platform at Rathcoole.

I have no information as to the occurrence referred to, nor have I anything to add to the reply given to the Deputy's question in June last.
