Vol. 95 No. 2

Ceisteanna — Questions. Oral Answers. - Suppression of Organisation.

asked the Minister for Justice whether his attention has been called to the recent launching in Dublin of an organisation called the "Vanguard", having for its objects the destruction of private property and the creation of a spirit of revolt among the workers and working farmers; and, if so, whether, in view of its declared objects, he will take steps to suppress the organisation.

Mr. Boland

I have seen what purports to be an authorised summary of the programme of the organisation referred to in the question. I cannot see in it, or in the activities of the association, so far, anything which would justify me in asking the Government to make a Suppression Order under Section 19 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939.
