Vol. 95 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Bog Roads in County Kildare.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health whether he has received a request from the Kildare County Council for authority to include in schemes of work the repairs to roads leading to the bog at Pollardstown, Newbridge, which is owned by the county council, and whether it is proposed to authorise the county council to proceed with the work in question.

An inquiry has been received from the county council as to the possibility of making a grant available for development work. The county committee of agriculture will, however, need to be consulted as the lands were originally acquired for forestry purposes. I understand the committee are meeting this week and will discuss this matter.
