Vol. 95 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Military Service Pensions Acts.

asked the Minister for Defence if he has considered the position of persons who were awarded pensions under the Military Service Pensions Acts, 1924, and 1934, but are deprived of the whole or part of such pensions because they are in the employment of the State or public bodies, and if any decision has been made to remove or mitigate this hardship.

The question of the deductions made from the military service pensions awarded to the persons referred to in the Deputy's question is under consideration. No decision has yet been reached in the matter.
