Vol. 95 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - News Bulletin.

asked the Minister for the Co-ordination of Defensive Measures if he is aware that a news bulletin entitled Weekly Review of the German News Agency is being distributed in Eire, and, if so, if he will state by whom it is published and printed, and if the matter published in each issue is submitted to the Press Censor; and further, whether it is permitted to publish and distribute such printed matter without indicating the names of the publisher and printer.

I am aware that ten bulletins, including that alluded to in the Deputy's question, are distributed here by the diplomatic offices of foreign Governments. While each of them is quite obviously published and circulated under the authority of the Government concerned, none of them carries the name of a printer. None of them has been asked to submit matter intended for publication to the Press Censor.

While I agree that in the case of many bulletins the name of the printer is not indicated, in regard to the one referred to in the question there is no indication of where it comes from and copies of it are publicly distributed in the streets of Dublin.

We know where the Wolfe Tone Weekly is coming from. We know all about that.

The answers to the remaining questions will be published in the Official Report. It is now 4 o'clock.
