Vol. 95 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Runners At Irish Race Meetings.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will consider the resumption on the radio of the declaration on previous day, as heretofore, of runners at Irish race meetings, as it is a great convenience to those interested in the industry, especially as evening papers are not available in country districts.

The practice of broadcasting lists of declared runners has been the subject matter of recent inquiry, and considerable doubt is cast on its value: it is sometimes even misleading. When the matter has been further examined I shall communicate with the Deputy.
