Vol. 95 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Exemption for Clonee Inn.

asked the Minister for Justice whether his attention has been drawn to the very severe hardship imposed on both men and horses engaged in carting hay from County Meath to Dublin through the operation of the licensing laws under which they are precluded from necessary rest and refreshments which were formerly available at Clonee, and, if so, whether he is prepared to remedy this grievance by granting an exemption to the local inn in respect of two nights per week.

Mr. Boland

There is no provision in the Licensing Acts under which an exemption of this nature could be granted.
