Vol. 211 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Garda Entry on Secondary School Property.

39.

asked the Minister for Justice if, during the holding of recent secondary school examinations, members of the Garda Síochána entered the private property of secondary schools without requesting or obtaining the permission of the managers or owners thereof; and, if so, what was the reason for such entry; and whether such entry was in accordance with law.

I know of no law which requires a member of the Garda, or any other member of the public, to obtain permission before entering school grounds.
