Vol. 95 No. 11

Ceisteanna.—Questions. Oral Answers. - Emergency Bonus for Cork Workers.

asked the Minister for Defence if applications have been made more than once by certain skilled and unskilled hands, employed at the military posts at Nadd and Gleancaum bogs, for cost-of-living bonus, and if he will have these applications considered with a view to bringing these men to the wages level prevailing in similar occupations in the County Cork.

The answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. The investigation of the applications has now been completed and instructions have been issued for the payment of wages and emergency bonuses to the employees concerned at the rates prevailing for corresponding employment in the Mallow area.
