asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will state what are the total amounts of foreign money and postal orders cashed in Éire and originating (1) in Great Britain; (2) elsewhere, during the years 1939-1944.

As the question involves a table of figures, the answer will be published in the Official Reports.

The value of the relatively few postal orders of British origin issued in Dominion countries are included in the above figures. Postal orders of other countries are not negotiable in Éire.
