Vol. 95 No. 17

Ceisteanna.—Questions. Oral Answers. - Slievardagh Coalfield Development Act.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state the amounts repaid by the company under Sections 10 and 11 of the Slievardagh Coalfield Development Act, 1941, and the rate of interest charged; whether he has waived any repayment under the same sections; and, if so, if he will state the amounts involved.

Up to the present no repayments have been made in respect of instalments of advances repayable under Section 11 or in respect of interest payable under Section 10 of the Act referred to by the Deputy. Interest is being charged at the rate of 5 per cent. per annum. Payments which became due by the company have been postponed but have not been waived.

How long have they been postponed for?
