Vol. 95 No. 17

Ceisteanna.—Questions. Oral Answers. - Heifer Schemes.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if, in view of the fact that many herds in Kerry and Cork are appreciably reduced through abortion, etc., he will renew the heifer schemes in Kerry, and so give considerable relief to dairy farmers.

The Agricultural Credit Corporation, Limited, has already in operation a special scheme under which loans are obtainable for the purchase of heifers. It is not necessary, therefore, to provide additional facilities of this nature under the schemes administered by my Department.
