Vol. 95 No. 17

Ceisteanna.—Questions. Oral Answers. - Division of County Dublin Estate.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state what action the Land Commission proposes to take concerning the balance of the Kinsella Estate, Clonmethon, Oldtown; if he is aware that there are new houses unoccupied and land uncared for on the estate; and, if so, if he is prepared to allocate these lands and houses to local landless men or uneconomic holders; and, if not, if he will state the names and addresses of the persons to whom these lands will be allocated and the reasons for refusing the local applicants.

The Kinsella estates, as acquired by the Land Commission, comprised an area of 282 acres. Of this area 169 acres have been allotted (half to local applicants) and 113 acres remain for allotment. Buildings have been erected on the unallotted land preparatory to allotment, but the Land Commission are not yet in a position to state how or to whom this land will be allotted.

May I give notice that, with your permission, Sir, I propose to raise the matter concerned in question 31 to-morrow night, on the Adjournment?

I will consider it if no more important question is raised to-morrow.

To-night, if it is available.

With your permission, Sir, I should like to raise the matter concerned in question 28 on the Adjournment.

I have to decide as to which of the two I select. I select Question 28 as being the wider issue.

Will mine be taken to-morrow night?
