Vol. 96 No. 18

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Army Pensions Acts.

asked the Minister for Defence if he will state the number of pensions granted under the Army Pensions Acts to dependents of volunteers killed in the pre-Truce period.

asked the Minister for Defence if he will state the number of volunteers serving, previous to 1921, who are in receipt of pensions (1) because of wounds, and (2) because of illness contracted during service; and the number in receipt of pensions as a result of the death of relatives, viz., son, husband or brother.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 11 and 12 together.

Statements are being prepared furnishing in so far as is practicable the particulars required, and will be forwarded to the Deputy at an early date.

Will they be printed in the Official Report?

I could not say.

I must press this, so that any reply to a Deputy's question will be published in the Official Report.

If the Deputy means in the Official Debates the answer is, yes.

If available. It would be contrary to practice to insert a reply not now furnished. The questions and answers will be in the Official Report.

Will I have to repeat the question?

The Deputy will be informed.
