Vol. 97 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Local Authorities Employees' Bonus.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he will state the extra cost that would have been involved from 1940 up to the 31st March last if the rates of bonus for the employees of local authorities had not been stabilised.

There is no record in my Department of the cost which would have been involved from 1940 up to the 31st March last, if the cost-of-living bonus had not been stabilised, and I do not feel justified in putting local authorities to the trouble and expense of compiling the information.
