Vol. 98 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Meath Estate.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state if he has received from the local congests and the descendants of those families formerly evicted from the Rathdram Estate, Belview, Crossakiel, County Meath, a request for the division of this estate; and, as there is every likelihood that the estate may be sold privately at an early date, if he will now take steps to have it inspected and listed for acquisition on the resumption of land division.

The question appears to refer to the lands of Belview and Patrickstown on the Rotherham Estate. Representations have been received requesting the acquisition and division of these lands and have been noted for investigation as soon as circumstances permit. At present the Land Commission are not in a position to take any action in the matter.
