asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state whether it is proposed to introduce legislation at an early date for the purpose of amending the law relating to hire-purchase agreements; or, failing the introduction of such proposals in the near future, whether he will state what immediate action he proposes to take to protect the interests of poor people who, in adverse circumstances, are being deprived of goods purchased under such agreements where only a small part of the contract price remains unpaid.
