Vol. 98 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Leix Lands.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will cause inquiries to be made by the Land Commission at an early date in connection with the acquisition for division of the lands of Mr. Pierce Purcell, Aughnacross, Ballinakill, County Leix, as the owner is not residing there, and they are considered locally to be suitable for division amongst applicants in the area.

The Land Commission have no proceedings for the acquisition of the lands in question and are not at present in a position to take any action in the matter.

May I give notice that I desire to raise on the Adjournment, with your permission, Question No. 1 on the Order Paper to-day, with a slight reference to Question No. 31, in which the Minister for Finance was unable to give an answer?

The Deputy can scarcely raise the two together.

Then I will raise No. 1.

I doubt if the Deputy is wise, from his own point of view, but that is his concern.
