Vol. 98 No. 12

Order of Business.

It is proposed to take business as on the Order Paper, Nos. 1, 2, 3 and 4; then No. 7 (Motions Nos. 8 and 4, both resumed discussions, as on the Private Deputies' list). Private Deputies' business will be taken at 7.30, unless the Government business has been finished before then.

We will resume on Motion No. 8?

Would the Tánaiste state the Parliamentary quota between now and Christmas?

There is the Second Stage of the Public Health Bill and all stages of the Finance (Miscellaneous Provisions) Bill.

Is it intended to adjourn this week?

We should finish the business next week.

We will sit next week?

Probably. There is a Bill to be introduced called the Finance (Miscellaneous Provisions) Bill, all stages of which are required before Christmas. If arrangements are made to give all stages to-morrow, we might finish to-morrow.

I understood there was agreement to dispose of No. 2 this week.

In that case, it will not be necessary to sit next week, that is, if the Second Stage of the Public Health Bill is finished.

Then, would we not sit until January?

What date in January?

I will be able to give more specific information to-morrow. We have in mind the 16th January.

When will No. 2 be circulated?
