Vol. 99 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Land Acquired under Forestry Acts.

Mr. Corish

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state (a) the number of parcels of land in respect of which notice to acquire was served under the Forestry Acts, 1919 and 1928; (b) the number and area of such parcels actually acquired during the period 1st April, 1930, to 31st March, 1945; and (c) the amount of compensation paid in respect of the lands so acquired.

The number of parcels of land in respect of which notices to acquire have been served under the Forestry Acts is five. Of these five, two parcels have been acquired, the areas being 336 acres and 193 acres respectively. Both of these were commonages and the total amount of compensation paid was £10.
