Vol. 99 No. 14

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Acquisition of Offaly Lands.

asked the Minister for Lands if he is aware that the lands of the estate of the late Mr. W.A. Robinson, Kilnacash, Mountmellick, have been reset for a further period and if he will ask the Land Commission to give consideration, at an early date, to the acquisition, for division, of these lands in view of the many applicants for land in this area.

I would refer the Deputy to the replies given to his question of the 10th October last and previous questions regarding the Robinson Estate, Kilnacash, County Leix. The Land Commission have noted the case for inquiry as soon as circumstances permit.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state when it is proposed to acquire, for division amongst local smallholders and other suitable applicants, the lands of Mr. Matthew Moore, Lunville, Edenderry, Offaly, and if he will request the Land Commission to expedite a scheme in this case in view of the general demand for land in the area.

Representations have been made to the Land Commission for the resumption of the holding of Mr. Mathias Moore on the Pigott Estate in the townland of Lunville and have been noted for attention in due course.
