Vol. 99 No. 17

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Division of Leix Lands.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will have immediate action taken by the Land Commission to acquire, for division amongst local applicants, the lands of Messrs. Cullen and Thompson at Springfield and Iney, Ballyfin, Mountrath, Leix; and if he will cause this case to be listed for special attention as soon as circumstances permit.

In regard to the lands at Iney and Springfield held by the Misses Thompson, I have nothing to add to the reply given to the Deputy's previous question of 22nd February, 1945. The Land Commission have no proceedings for the acquisition of 66a. 2r. 34p. of the lands of Springfield held by Lindsey Cullen. Both of these cases have been noted for investigation when circumstances permit.

I was just reminding the Minister and anticipated his reply.
