Vol. 101 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Acquired Land in County Meath.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state the total area of the lands in the hands of the Land Commission in County Meath, and the location and area of each parcel of land or estate so held.

There are approximately 2,700 acres of land, including turbary, in hands of the Land Commission, in County Meath. The figure is subject to frequent fluctuation. In recent months it embraced scattered parcels on more than 40 different estates. There are objections and difficulties in the way of supplying information as to the location and area of each parcel on hands, but if the Deputy is concerned as regards any particular estate and will communicate with me, I shall see what can be done.
