Vol. 101 No. 19

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Medical Investigation of Miners' Disease.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will set up a medical investigation to inquire into the existence or possible existence of a disease which may be termed anthracosis, akin to silicosis, and which peculiarly affects miners working in the Castlecomer coalfields.

Anthracosis is not a scheduled disease under the Workmen's Compensation Act, either in this country or in Great Britain. I will have inquiries made concerning it, and communicate with the Deputy.
