Vol. 102 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Forestry Workers and Boot Supplies.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will arrange to have supplies of rubber boots provided for the forestry workers in his Department.

Rubber boots are provided by the Department for the use of workmen engaged on special operations in which such footwear is required.

Is the Minister aware that the forestry workers at Killinure and Emo have not been supplied with rubber boots for the carrying on of their work, and will he undertake to draw the attention of the Forestry Section of the Department to the grievance of these workers and see that boots are supplied to them in future?

Wherever such boots are required they are supplied by the Forestry Section. There may have been some difficulty in supplying them during the war years when rubber boots were not available.

In the event of their being available, they will be supplied?
