Vol. 102 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin Dock Strike.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if, in view of the serious consequences arising from the continuance of the strike amongst workers at the Dublin docks, he proposes to take any action in the matter.

Three conferences between the parties concerned in the dispute have been held under the auspices of my Department, but agreement could not be reached. I will convene a further conference at any time on request from any of the parties.

Has the Minister had any representations from industrialists or other people affected by the proposed continuance of the strike and would he on representations from such persons convene a conference?

I will convene a conference as soon as I have any reason to think it is likely to lead to a result.
