Vol. 102 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Procuring Essential Raw Materials.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if, as a result of the American loan to Britain, the Government proposes to enter into negotiations with the American or British Governments with a view to procuring essential raw materials which are now in short supply here.

Negotiations have been, and are being, conducted frequently with the American and British Governments with a view to the procurement of essential raw materials in short supply. It is not necessary that any special arrangements should be made for such negotiations consequent on the American loan to Britain.
