Vol. 104 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Claim to Special Allowance.

asked the Minister for Defence if he will state the grounds on which the application for a special allowance under the Army Pensions Acts, 1923 to 1946, made by Mr. Michael J. O'Sullivan, Trafrask West, Adrigole, Bantry, has been rejected, and if further consideration will be given to the application in question.

The application for a special allowance under the Army Pensions Acts, 1923 to 1946, made by Mr. Michael J. O'Sullivan, Trafrask West, Adrigole, Bantry, was refused on the grounds that Mr. O'Sullivan is not at present incapable of self-support by reason of permanent infirmity.

As the terms of the Acts provide that no application for a special allowance which has been refused shall be renewed within a period of 12 months from the date of refusal, the application cannot be reconsidered before the 12th December next.
