Vol. 104 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Mayo Congestion.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state what steps, if any, have been taken to relieve the congestion in the townland of Tooreen, near Partry, County Mayo, by rearrangement of holdings or otherwise.

I would refer the Deputy to the reply given on 29th February, 1944, to his previous question about Tooreen townland, in which I said that this case is exceptionally complicated through the existence of various interests and titles.

The Land Commission operations in Tooreen are still hampered by lack of experienced inspectorial staff to handle the difficulties.
