Vol. 104 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Tea Supply Position.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if independent steps have been taken to secure the maintenance of tea supplies to Eire for the future; and if he will state the position regarding future supplies of tea.

Arrangements are being made to ensure that as soon as practicable our tea supplies will be bought in countries of origin and shipped direct to this country. In the meantime it is not anticipated that there will be any interruption in the flow of supplies but it is too early yet to make any statement on the future supply position.
