Vol. 104 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Repair of Kerry Embankments.

asked the Minister for Lands if he is aware that the embankments of the Ownagarry River, in the townlands of Annadale, Meanus, and Ownagarry (Killorglin), County Kerry, were recently damaged, and that, as a result, large areas of land in the above townlands are constantly flooded; and if he will take steps to have these embankments repaired at an early date.

The Land Commission have no liability for the repair or maintenance of embankments in the townlands of Annadale, Meanus and Ownagarry on the Ownagarry River but they are arranging for an inspection of the works with a view to ascertaining what action, if any, they can take in the matter.
