asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state, in respect of each county council area, for each of the years 1931, 1935, 1939, 1945 and 1946, respectively: (i) the number of assistant engineers employed by each such county council; (ii) the duties allotted to each such engineer; (iii) the salary paid to each such engineer; (iv) the basis on which such engineers receive travelling expenses; and (v) the number of clerks and typists employed in the engineers' section in each council.

The information is being compiled and will be sent to the Deputy.
