Vol. 105 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Fuel Supply in County Cork.

asked the Minister for Finance if he is aware of the acute shortage of fuel in the towns of Fermoy, Glanworth and Kilworth, County Cork; and if so, if he is prepared to relieve the shortage by offering for sale a considerable amount of timber, suitable for firewood, in the Moore Park estate.

Within the past few weeks, over 148 tons of standing timber have been made available from Moore Park through the Fermoy Urban District Council, for distribution as firewood. This represents the last of the firewood trees on the property.
