Vol. 105 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Aid for Agriculture.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state how much, approximately, of the total sum of £52,092,343, required for the service of the financial year 1947-48, under the heading of Supply Services, will be devoted, by direct or indirect subsidies or grants, to the help of agriculture.

Of the total sum of £52,092,343 for Supply Services for 1947-48, approximately £7,810,000 will be devoted, by direct or indirect expenditure, including subsidies or grants, to the help of agriculture. This amount includes administrative charges.

Can the Minister state what percentage of the total of £52,000,000 is collected directly or indirectly from the agricultural community?

That is a separate question.
