Vol. 105 No. 6

Order of Business.

It is proposed to take business as on the Order Paper: Item No. 2, the Industry and Commerce group of Estimates, followed by the Estimates for the Department of Lands.

When are we likely to take No. 1—the Sinn Féin Fund Bill— again?

Not until next week.

It will not be taken to-morrow?

Will Government time be given for consideration of the motion in the names of Deputy Heskin and myself dealing with the losses of farmers arising out of the recent storms? The matter is very urgent.

The matter of affording Government time for the motion has not been considered.

Will the Tánaiste consider it now?

I am not prepared to make a decision on the spur of the moment.

Will the Tánaiste be prepared to give Government time next week?

I have told the Deputy that the question has not been considered.

Will the House sit to-morrow?

For what business?

On the assumption that the business ordered for to-day will not be concluded.

If the business ordered for to-day is completed, can the Tánaiste say what business will be taken to-morrow?

If that business is completed, the Dáil will not meet to-morrow.

On a question of procedure, I have a motion down to reduce the Vote in respect of a particular sub-head and I should like to have your ruling, Sir, as to whether I can speak in the general discussion on matters in which I am interested, and, then, before concluding, move my motion? In other words, I do not wish to speak twice if you, Sir, will give me the opportunity of saying what I have to say in one speech.

Yes. The House will be in Committee, in any case.
