Vol. 105 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Letting of Meath Lands.

asked the Minister for Lands if the proceedings in the Land Commission Court, in respect of the Duddy or Daniel Estate at Moyleggan, Batterstown, County Meath, have terminated; if so, with what result; if he is aware that the lands are let for grazing for 1946 and 1947; and if he will state on whose behalf they are so let.

The Land Commission initiated proceedings for the resumption of Mrs. Duddy's holding on the Daniel estate some years ago but in prevailing circumstances the proceedings were not brought to conclusion. The case is noted for further action when circumstances permit. Particulars of lettings, if any, made by the tenant for the past or present year are not available to the Land Commission.
