Vol. 105 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Cemetery Site in Roscommon.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he is aware that the site selected for the cemetery at St. John's, County Roscommon, is unsuitable from the point of view of location and the nature of the soil, since it is proposed to have the cemetery placed opposite the church gate, and the subsoil is what is known as "lock"; further, that there is an alternative site, within 200 yards of the church, where the soil is suitable; and if he will arrange that this latter site be acquired for the purpose indicated.

No proposal has been submitted to my Department in connection with the provision of a cemetery at the place mentioned in the question.
