Vol. 106 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Sanatorium Accommodation.

asked the Minister for Health if the new ward at Crooksling Sanatorium, which provided for 28 additional beds, is occupied; and if not, if he will state what steps are being taken to provide additional accommodation there.

I understand that the period for completion of this contract was delayed owing to the difficulty of obtaining the necessary building materials. In view of the abnormally severe weather conditions in recent months it was not advisable to occupy the new buildings. They are now ready for occupation and will be made available for patients and staff as soon as the necessary additional nursing and domestic employees have been recruited.
