Vol. 106 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Provision of Railway Service (County Cork).

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will direct Córas Iompair Éireann to provide a rail service to Courtmac-sherry and Clonakilty, in view of the importance of both places as tourist centres.

I am unable to say when the fuel position may permit of the reopening of the lines referred to by the Deputy. The company have made arrangements, to provide an omnibus service between Cork and Courtmac-sherry as from 2nd June next. Clonakilty is already served by the omnibus service which is operated between Cork and Schull.
