Vol. 106 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Tralee-Dingle Branch Line.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he is aware of the very serious hardship imposed on a large section of the people of County Kerry as a result of the closing down some two months ago of the branch railway line from Tralee to Dingle, and if, in view of the adverse effect on fairs and on the commercial life, he will take steps to have this service restored at the earliest possible moment.

I am unable to say when the fuel situation may permit of the reopening of the Tralee-Dingle branch railway line. Daily lorry services are being provided for general merchandise and special live-stock lorries for fairs.
