Vol. 106 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Borough and Urban District Council Employees' Remuneration.

Mr. Corish

asked the Minister for Local Government if he has received proposals, from the county managers, for an increase in the remuneration of officers and employees of borough and urban district councils; and if so, when it is proposed to sanction such increases.

Proposals for increases in the remuneration of officers and employees of 49 borough and urban district councils have been received from county managers. Decisions on these proposals have issued in 21 cases and it is hoped to have the remainder dealt with in the near future.
