Vol. 107 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Bog Allocations (Kerry).

asked the Minister for Lands if he is aware that a number of tenants on the Buckley estate, Kilmore, County Kerry, have failed to secure turf banks in the locality, although an official of his Department made a survey of the bogs at Knockanaroon in June last year, when the names of applicants for turbary were listed; and if he is now in a position to indicate what prospect there is of the bogs in that area being divided in the near future.

Draft turbary regulations, designed to provide turbary at Knockanaroon for tenants on the Buckley estate and others, have been prepared and are at present under consideration by the Land Commission. There will be no avoidable delay in the matter.
