Vol. 107 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Village Halls.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he is aware of the need for village halls in County Dublin; if his Department received an application from the County Commissioner, Dublin County Council, for a loan in order to undertake the erection of these halls; and if so, if he will state whether it is proposed to make a loan available.

I understand there is a proposal under consideration to provide halls in County Dublin as part of a scheme for the extension of the library service. No application has been received for sanction to a loan to meet the cost of these halls.
